Isaac Albeniz originally composed this piece for the piano. The version played on the Spanish guitar is richer and warmer. This is one of my favorite piece of classical music, second to Capricho Arabe. My heart races upon hearing the first chord progessing into what feels like Allegro appassionato. It’s beautiful, fast, melodic and mysterious especially during the part played in Andante tranquillo.
Heavily DISAPPOINTED me. It’s the 15 in. unibody, 2.8 ghz, 4gb ram, 500hd, GeForce 9400M + 9600M GT with 512mb, superdrive 8x…
AND the damn thing froze and crashed minutes after I registered online.
Aside from that encounter, the thing “bleeps” randomly. It drove me mad so I searched online to see if people had the same issues and here’s what I found:
So Apple acknowledged the problem and released a Bluetooth and HD firmware for units shipped before June 09
At $2500 a pop (I tried cheesing for the student’s discount but to no avail), one would think Apple had better QA. What sucks too is that the problems occurred to a lot of people.
The only thing differentiating Macs from PCs is the OS and I’ve heard great things about Windows 7. I’m very unbiased and not a fan of either brands. I guess all I wanted was to get my money’s worth.
On a lighter note, I will admit that I enjoy watching the enthusiasm of Mac fanboys on youtube. I love how they do Apple’s marketing work for free. It’s fun to watch the newly converted Mac users unbox their white Macbooks or 13” MBP.
The truth is, I bought this MBP to give as a gift but I learned that they have one already so I ended up just keeping it. That’s probably for the better because I’d be embarrassed to give a friend a broken present.
Been playing it for almost 100 hours with the good karma option. Just installed 5 new DLCs that will take an extra 20 hours or so to finish. After beating the game, I’m looking forward to playing it again from the beginning as the bad guy. I’m going to give my character a “witchy” look. She’ll be the baddest bitch in the Wasteland and beyond.
Fallout 3 is the BEST GAME I’ve played in the last 10 years…and that’s saying a lot. I know, I need to go out more. But going out sucks anyway. It’s all a bunch of people BS-ing and a lot of nonsense in the end.
I am also looking forward to Mass Effect 2, Bioshock2 and Fallout New Vegas.
Ugh, so many games – so little time. It sounds pretty dorky but I’m happy.

Ok so we pay a lot for our 2 bedroom loft with an open 2nd floor office space. I’m thinking of moving my operations to one of the bedrooms (the gameroom) next week. There’s been an addition to my scope of work and the new business model requires time on the phone.
Got my ass kicked by a sh*tty little 9 year old on Live. I don’t get these new games with fancy 3D graphics and moves. I’ve been playing the Street Fighter series since 1992 and all the sudden this kid born this decade kicks my ass.
My screen name on Live is WebYuppie. I’m going to practice all week so I can beat the crap out of that little chum. My avatar looks constipated but whatever.
I got lazy and left my daily contacts on for two days. When I finally removed them, the right lens dried out so bad that it ripped off the tear producing membrane of my right eye. Although my eye was pinkish, it really wasn’t pink eye. Maybe I had a lazy eye. Get it? Har har.
This strange and somewhat painful incident led me to appreciate the significance of vision. It was really tough driving with one eye covered.
It was the funnest gift ever. Aaron is against the purchase of exotic cars that go up in value but he was nice enough to let me drive one for a day.
He originally chose the F430 but I told him that I wasn’t ready for that beast. We ended up with a ‘02 395-HP 360 Modena, 6 speed manual. The car responds obediently when I wield the stick up demanding for more power.
We drove from the Strip to Hoover Dam and Arizona. There was a brief period when the car passed 120mph but this time, I wasn’t the passenger.
Ferrari owners have told me that dealers like pushing the F1/paddle shift transmission. As a manual transmission fan, I never understood why buyers would go for the paddle when driving outside a racing track.
My parents enrolled me to take private piano lessons when I was 5. It was fun and I learned how to read basic music. But years after that, without practice and application, I forgot everything.
I heard the song Bullet the Blue Sky by U2 in 1988 so I got my dad to buy me the Joshua Tree cassette tape. I enjoyed it a lot but it wasn’t until Achtung Baby that made me a hard core U2 fan. I went ahead and bought all their albums. At the time, War became my favorite and the guitar riffs led me to buying a guitar when I was in the 8th grade. It was a crappy, generic electric that came with an amp that buzzed a lot so I hardly used it.
The first tune I learned to play was Sunday Bloody Sunday from reading tablature. It was fairly easy to learn. I got more tablature books by Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Dire Straits.
I lost interest in playing the guitar by my sophomore year in high school.
10 years later in 2005, I bought an acoustic Ibanez guitar. I felt the need to rekindle what I enjoyed doing in the past and also learning to read music.
